A Very Intimate Wedding

Hi! How have you been? How was the start of your 2012?

My January was stressful. And wonderful.
This year started with blessings and blissful memories and I pray this goes on for the rest of the year.

I've been quiet here for quite some time because of a lot of things. One, because I was so busy with all the wedding details. Another is that work finally called and I was also too occupied trying to accomplish all the requirements needed for me to start on time, not to mention glitches that caused me temporary depression (LOL-whuutt). So imagine me as I struggle between those two responsibilities that SHOULD happen in a  week. A WEEK. Man, I did morphed into a monster. Ask Jay, he was my shock-absorber. I won't really be able to make it if not for him.

So let me share to you one of the highlights of my January: my brother's wedding.
*All photos are from my brother's camera. We're still waiting for the official photos from the photographers.

I guess all of us in the family are emotional when it comes to each other.

I really thought I won't be able to pull this whole event together. Man, you will never believe what I've been  through for this wedding, and it's just with 15 guests. What more on a full blown 50 to a hundred guests wedding? Seriously. But the hardest part of everything was to hold up the tears hearing each one's messages to the couple that night. I hosted the event so I really have to hold back my tears no matter how much I really wanted to give in. But I guess that didn't succeeded the moment my brother and sister-in-law hugged me and thank me for their wedding. Priceless.

my sister in law is so sweet. My mascara was running, FYI. lol

Kailangan kasi may picture talaga ako sa tabi ng cake eh. LOL

at sa piano. hahaha
(Buking!lol: Wearing birkinstock under my gown)

My brother's wedding is so private that he even asked me to tell the photographers never to post their pictures on their portfolios online or wherever, same goes with the couturier and all other suppliers (ako lang pasaway to have even posted it here,hihi-the reason also for the few pictures). And if you may have noticed in the photos, it was just both side's immediate family. If  it is not to have members of entourage it would have been just us family and ate Kumi's. No friends, no crashers, no other relatives. That private and intimate.

This is something I really am happy I took part in, not just as the sister of the groom but the coordinator/planner/runner/etc. I was exhausted and stressed and this has even taken toll on me and Jay because of how stressed changed me day after day. But all that are truly nothing the moment you see all your loved ones there in one room having a good time. My brother's new family is so nice! It was really a bliss meeting them and knowing that in another part of the world you have another family. They flew in all the way from Tokyo just for this wedding and they are all thanking me for making the occasion so wonderful for them and their daughter. Ahhhhhh. It feels so good! And no matter how tiring it was, I enjoyed it from planning to the wedding day itself and even up to now as I look at the pictures. Whoa. I actually did it! Huzzzah!
