Rainbow

Haven't been on the loop since November and that's entirely because work has eaten my social and cyber life once again. *Applause*

Kidding and negativity aside, how have y'all been? It's almost Christmas! It's just hours away and here I am infront of my TP working. Hurray! Hahah kkk, tucking the bitterness away. Oh well, I'm not really that sad since I'm working at home, the perks of having TP.

Anyway, work isn't all about stress and sulking. Some days we are colorful and ready for the camera. Just like last Wednesday, 19 December. Apparently the company (Team initiated) sends out Holiday greetings to the client and IBM counterparts across the globe with pictures! Hence my panic last Monday. We were opting for a Mafia Theme and that was decided only that day while the shoot would be the day after the next. To my relief, it was changed to casual rainbow colors and luckily I picked red.

So let me share them to you:  :)

Nice shot of Eastwood Park: Photo credit to my Officemate :D

Not much of a Rainbow color, eh? I knoooow. But that shall do. -_-''''

Ciao for now! :)

Have a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones! :))

(1) Team breakfast with the October birthday celebrants once again you guys, I don't know why I don't get fat at all! (2) Sinangag omg! (5) CGS low angle shot (6 & 7) #OOTD School Girl In The Office  (8) OMG I have to elaborate on this one. Because of my early shift, I sleep early as well, like 8 or 9. Jay comes home every night because he drops me to my office every morning. That night (well, recently it becomes every night) he went on an OT. I told him to just call me to wake me up so I'll open the door for him. And gahhd he was calling me like mad, sending texts in between and I am so deep in slumber! He got home at around 10? or 11? And I only got to wake up at around maybe 1 AM! huhu. Good thing he didn't get a dengue or whatever. I felt so baaaad. Sobra na nga sacrifice niya para ihatid ako every morning sa office. I'm so sorry babe. (9) My annoying grin and my siopao fez.
 (1) Johnny Rockets'  (JRs) Bacon TLC - I didn't like the smell of their bacon. (2) (JRs') Smiling dip (3) (JRs) Chicken chuchu for Jay (4) Eastwood at 3:30 AM (5) Johnny Rocket's old school music player (6) Camwhoring while waiting for the brekky (7) Nakihiram lang ng witch hat hihi (8) On red lips and eye bags #instagram (9) #OOTD I haven't blog about yet.haha

 (1) Reading The Morning Rush book while Kulit is napping (2) Amber's blocks of choc at High Street. She kept on asking for the free taste chocolates! haha (3 - 6) Amber's different Silly faces. That's what she gets from her dad. (7) Amber trying my bracelets, exploring my accessories chest (8) Doing some DIY bracelet. I just recycled some old bracelets and earrings I no longer use and put them in one- tadahhh!

Oh October please move a little faster cause I can't wait for November! hihi :)

But holyeffin'cow--50php for a macaron a size only an inch bigger than a 10 Peso coin. wtf. (11) The store's (Chez Karine) menu (12) me whatever (13) reunited with one of my closest friends! (14)Amber enjoying much the car game whateverthatis (15) Amber playing peek-a-boo with Ninang Yha (16) my loves enjoying our most loved comfort foods at McDonald's.

October Photo Diary Week1

Huzzah! How have you been?

I have been meaning to do a 30 day challenge but I still can't seem to decide what those 30 challenges are. So as not to waste the month, I resigned to a photo diary of my days.

And here's my first week.
(1) My phone's wallpaper (2) My Amber necklace as my brother's gift from his Europe Trip (3) OneOne Spicy is so yummeh addicting! (4) The last piece of my chicharon that I can't eat coz it's so noisy when I'm making a bite-hihi (5 and 6) Eastwood view from our Pantry-so gloomy (7) Yummeh brownies I had for lunch which I think is overpriced but still bought it cause it looks so good.

(1) Elevator shot - my only way for an outfit shot and it's always a fail (2) Endless meetings and training (3) my cutie patootie pink cow notebook (4)CG buildings (5) Breakfast: Suman (6)new yummeh discovery: Potato fries BBQ flavor (7) my second love (to JL) looking so miserable I wanted to give him a hug (8) Saturday breakfast I made for me and my guy.

As to my 30 day challenge, if I find the inspiration and the drive to do it I might start anytime in the middle of the month. Or maybe I'll wait for the next month. Yet again. Oh I never make up my mind.

Random Shiz

Blogging from outside the house, savoring the windy, lazy afternoon while Amber is asleep.

Lemme share some good things over the net that makes me giddy and sane.

Eye sketches utterly fascinate me.
Hopefully my birthday present to myself.

SNAPSHOTS: From Above

One of the best things about flying during the day is seeing how fascinating and amazing clouds are up close. I have never been this amused with it since I like the night sky and the stars better. I'm that melancholic. LOL.Chos. But I really cannot deny how overwhelming the clouds are, especially if it's this close. I wonder how it feels to touch them.  Or can we?  Which leads me to putting Hang Gliding in Rio de Janeiro in my bucket list (yes tapang!).

Here are some snapshots I took while taking off Changi Airport:
FLUFFFFY!

We're nearing Manila and it's cloudy! Yaaaay!
This is how cloudy it can get. Wait until it turned all white, zero visibility!

Here are some photos somewhere between the airways of Singapore and Manila:

I have no photos of our flight from Manila to Singapore, though. It was one of the best sights I have ever seen! City lights of the Metro and my awesome sauce, the nightsky!!! Yet I failed to take a shot! T.T Because Amber was crying hard that time, don't know why. And I wasn't sure if it was allowed to do while taking off-haha. Manila's view from the top at night is much better than Singapore's. I don't know if this was because our airport is in the middle of the metro while Singapore's somewhere beyond their city? I honestly don't know what I am taking about. Haha. Wuttevur.

Let me slice my Singapore trip to several entries as I want to focus on each destination. I'm still waiting for my brother to upload the Day 1 pictures I took from my camera. Hang in there folks! ;)

The Perks of Being A Wallflower Movie Trailer

Aaaaaand it's here! :)) I went gaga looking for this book for like more than a year and now that there's a movie adaptation, I am crossing my fingers. I am really hoping this does not disappoint. And oh, Logan Lerman is soooo adorable. Hihi~ Emma Watson, btw will always be my girl crush. Always.

Last Thursday, I went out and had dinner with some of my favorite people in the world--my HS friends! I seldom see them since I no longer live in Laguna and our schedule clashes most of the time. Not even the weekend is a common ground.

Seeing them seriously feels like home. Hahaha eh kasi kahit sobrang tagal namin di nagkita at hindi naman kami madalas magusap, parang wala lang. Comfortable parin like the old times. :))

This thing is amazeballs. Drooooool

Desserts at Cafe Ti-Amo. Their ice creams are to die for!!
Making fun of me for my back pack. Hahah
These kinds of evenings are so needed to keep myself sane. Gaaahd. I terribly missed high school and hanging out with these people--the never ending stories, nitpicking and laughter.

So until next time! :)

#32: Make An Art Piece At Least Once A Week

YAAY for the time! I was able to do an art piece this weekend. This is to my oath to number 32 of the list of things I have to do before the year ends: Make an art piece at least once a week.

Back in high school and early college years when I was still active in doing paintings and drawings, I am not much on using watercolor as a medium. I can say that I am more of the acrylic, pencil and pastel kind of artist. Back then I thought watercolor is for kids (that's a shame, I know!). I bow my head in embarrassment for thinking such thing because now I realize how difficult it is to use. Sure it may seem like using acrylic in painting but I think it's more difficult to blend using watercolor. That, my friend is what I have to learn to master and doing at least one watercolor basic painting like what I did today will help me achieve the skill. That's why this time, I am giving watercolor a try.

I'm starting on basic paintings like my fashion drawings and doing sorts of fonts. This is a great practice (doing the fonts) especially for beginners. My calligraphy practice shown above is a manifestation of my inner frustrations to go to the beach soonest--lol. Somebody take me to the ocean please. :)

Strict To Dos

I was blog hopping this morning when I got into this site and oh I was inspired! I have been feeling bored lately and I know I just have to inject something new in my life once in a while to avoid exhaustion. I have been trying to accomplish a list of my TO DOs for this year and I don't know but I can't seem to focus and finish it--including ALL things I want to try. So when I was browsing her site, I stumbled upon her list of To Dos and thought I could use it too. I blocked the things I commit to do before this year ends and added some items I personally and wholeheartedly challenge myself to accomplish as well.

1.Discover a new cuisine, or eat something you've never tried before.
   > I am not sure why I am highlighting this item but I yes, I will try my best to do this. FYI: I am such a picky eater and trying something new (i.e. ewwiii foodies) is one of the greatest challenges I have to face (lol on that).

2. Invest in a business or idea that you believe in.
(I already have one in mind but that would still take years. Gotta save!)

3. Expose yourself to a different kind of religion or belief.
  > Just to widen my perspective in life.

4. Make a new friend.

5. Make peace with someone who has hurt you in the past and let go of all negativity.
(I guess I'm not ready to forgive yet but sure I have lost all negativity I had.)

6. Smile at all the street kids and beggars you see.
  > Don't judge me. I don't feel like doing this just because some (if not all) I encounter are the type who abuses when shown with even the littlest kindness. Sorry, I just don't like to entertain. I'm such a coward, especially when I'm alone someplace.

7. Say yes to all invitations.
  >This is scary, lol. but no, seriously, I have a kid and I would rather spend my free time with her than go out. Unless it's that irresistible.

8. Shut off your phone for one weekend.
  > Well, only if I'm with Jay and the rest of my family, yes of course.

9. Fight for a cause.
 > Still have to see what cause would it be, but I am most happy to be part of something meaningful.

10. Have a date with yourself: eat out and watch a movie in the cinema alone.
 > I tried eating out a couple of times already but not watch a movie in the cinema alone. Challenge.

11. Sit down and have your portrait sketched.
 > I imagine this to be on one of the streets of Europe but I don't think that's possible this year, so maybe I'll include in this list to 12. find a place here in Manila where I can have my fez sketched (mall not counted).

13. Learn a new sport.
  >Boxing? I'm thinking of what sport to learn. I have tried table tennis, softball, soccer, basketball and I know volleyball, swimming and badminton. What can you suggest?

14. Plan a fun day together and ask your crush out on a date.
> How can I get to John Lloyd Cruz, anyone?LOL

15. Donate half of your income this month to charity.
 > Half is a number. I will, but maybe on a different way.

16. Take art lessons.
 > I have always wanted to! Imma get back to painting, or sketching Or maybe I finally get into that workshop I have always dreamed of joining into.

17. Have your fortune read.

18. Hop on a provincial bus and go on a random day-trip adventure!
 > YES please!

19. Do a juice or fruit cleanse.

20. Purchase an artwork.
 > I'll purchase my own house first so I can hang them all.

21. Write a letter to the teacher who changed your life in high school or college.

22. Write a book.
 > I still have that unfinished story I have written back in High school. I aim to finish it before this year ends.

23. Get an Organ Donor Card.

24. Get a tattoo.
 > I badly want to get my first tattoo on my birthday next year that I already have pegs, but this is still under major thinking. hurrrr~

25. Go 100% organic.

26. Say what you think and feel, and don't lie or sugarcoat.
> I will. One of these days, I'll make another entry for just laying all out on the table.
27. Invent a 30-day challenge for yourself and see it to completion.

28. Collaborate on a project with a stranger.

29. Open a bank account specifically for your travel fund.

30. Compilation of Amber's pictures
> No scrapbooks please. I want it to look like a coffee table book~for kids.lol

31. Watch a theater play

32. Make an art piece at least once a week.
> Yes, once a week. I should start being strict on this or else I'll get rusty all the way.

33. Visit at least three beaches I have never been to
> I'm eyeing Anawangin, Pagudpod and Coron!

34. Finish at least three books you can add to your collection
>Game of Thrones please!

35. Make another list and start from the top! :)

These are the things I have thought of challenging myself to do for the rest of the year. I hope to add more to this list soon!

To the Real World

This year opened with so many things to be grateful for. One of which is me landing on my very first job! Howyeahh~!! Ever since I got back from giving birth, I immediately started looking for work mindlessly. Yup, you heard it right, mind.less.ly. And only a day after my first online application, I started getting calls and one thing I know I'm already attending interviews. Sadly, every interview I get I realized it's not what I want. One by one, I started turning offers down. Don't get me wrong, it's just that I really want to land on something I believe to be truly what I deserve. Besides, I only want my first job to be a great experience for me. I am not rushing anyway and honestly my mom doesn't like the idea of me working as early as now because of Amber. So I told myself I'll wait for the right one to come.

And indeed waiting did not fail me! I say hello to the real word! To TAX! To the company I waited for almost half a year!LOL

If I hadn't been updating lately it is because I have no time to open my laptop as soon as I get home from work. My office is far from where I live, like real far. But for my own safety I refuse to say from where to where I travel every single day, but if you know where I live it's no brainer. It would be my third week next week and I'm still processing everything about work. It's kind of scary because it's high level and I'm afraid to make mistakes. Howzaaah~~~newbie jitters, LOL. Thank God I have nice colleagues, especially my fellow new hires who are fresh grads too.

So please be patient with me. I promise to update at least once a week.
See you around!
